Professional activity
Alex Ratoi is a lawyer and member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 2009 and has a LL.B Diploma at Bucharest University Law School.
As of 2007 Alex was enrolled in “Piperea & Associates” innovative team, where he was a part-time associate during the period 2007-2008. During this period, he participated in drafting legal opinions regarding competition law, corporate law, intelectual property law and real estate; he has provided legal advice to several clients in the banking sector and has drafted petitions in insolvency and corporate court litigation.
Moreover, Alex was co-author of several articles published in the Romanian Business Law Review. He has participated in editing the treaty „Insolvency: the law, the rules, the reality”. He is one of the permanent collaborators of the Romanian Business Law Review – the section „Legal business concepts”.
Currently, Alex is consolidating his experience in civil litigation, corporate litigation and consumer protection litigation, providing legal advice to „Piperea & Associates” clients’ both in English and French.
In addition, Alex is involved in numerous pro bono projects, being part of the team „100 lawyers for Romania” and has provided legal assistance in aspects related to labor law and pensions. In the same time, Alex is involved in various cases in front of the European Court of Human Rights.
